About
Welcome to Luckbros Kopi - Petaling Street, a delightful culinary retreat nestled in the bustling heart of Kuala Lumpur’s City Centre. Located at 9, Jalan Balai Polis, this modern kopitiam marries traditional Malaysian flavors with a comfortable, air-conditioned dining space—perfect for escaping the tropical heat while enjoying authentic local dishes.
As you step inside, the retro-style decor envelops you in a nostalgic ambiance reminiscent of classic kopitiams, where good food and great company take center stage. Patrons rave about the signature Milo Ice Tower, a fun, shareable drink that has quickly become a must-try. It's not just a drink; it's an experience that pairs seamlessly with the diverse offerings on the menu.
The menu boasts a variety of dishes that capture the essence of Malaysian cuisine. Many guests have highlighted the Nasi Lemak Panggong Ayam Goreng, a bestseller featuring crispy fried chicken that’s generously seasoned, paired with a fragrant rice that balances perfectly with the accompanying sambal. Despite some mixed reviews, it's clear that the dish receives high praise for its flavors. For those with a sweet tooth, the Kaya Toast and Kaya Butter Bun are must-tries that deliver a delightful crunch and rich taste thanks to their freshly made kaya and generous butter portions.
Customer feedback suggests a few misses, such as the Prawn Mee, which was noted for its oversized prawns but criticized for its lackluster broth. Yet, this doesn't detract from the overall experience at Luckbros Kopi, where the service shines. Frequent customers appreciate the attentive and friendly staff, who are quick to rectify any mistakes with grace—such as offering complimentary ice cubes for unwanted hot drinks.
On a busy day, expect to queue, but most agree the wait is worth it. The crowd adds to the lively atmosphere, making each visit feel vibrant and communal. Whether you’re savoring spicy sambal, indulging in strong coffee, or relishing the stunning views of the nearby Merdeka 118 Tower, Luckbros Kopi - Petaling Street is a spot that truly encapsulates the spirit of Kuala Lumpur.

“ I came here on National Day, the Merdeka 118 Tower is a feature here, and I also came here for this attraction. The satay here is delicious must try, the nasi lemak is pretty good, and the milo tower too sweet for me. But overall I very enjoy here. ”
“ Decent food. Our orders came out 15 minutes apart, though. Great coffee. Could turn down Sam Smith and Benson Boone's powerful-yet-plantive wailing. OK spot. ”
“ Modern kopitiam concept restaurant. It’s a chain but I’m pleasantly surprised by the food quality. Have tried 2 of this same chain now and I can say quality is consistently good. We had their: - Nasi Lemak Panggong Ayam Goreng: 4/5. Their best seller. Fried chicken thigh is crispy and well seasoned. Rice is not too fragrant and the ikan bilis tasted not fresh though. Sambal is moderately spicy. - Prawn mee: 2/5. Very big prawns. But the broth is not impressive. Lacked complexity to the flavour. - Kaya toast and Kaya butter bun: 5/5. Kaya is green and freshly made. Butter is generous. Well made. - Apam balik bun: 3/5. Strange flavours. Personally felt like the taste of the bun overpowered the apam balik flavours. Paired our food with the 3 in 1 cup of coffee, cham and tea, and spritzer lemon. We personally felt like the drinks were very pricey and wished they served water that isn’t bottled mineral water. Ambience was tastefully decorated in retro style, reminding me of an old school kopitiam. AC was freezing Many interesting menu items but we were too full to order more. It’s worth a try if you come upon an outlet. ”
“ Luck Bros Kopi offers a very comfortable, air-conditioned dining space, perfect for taking a break from the KL heat. The restaurant serves authentic Malaysian dishes, and their signature Milo Ice Tower is a must-try — large enough to share among four or more people. A great spot to visit if you’re around KL’s Chinatown. Highly recommended! ”
“ We came during lunch time and the place was quite crowded. We had to wait for about 15 minutes in the waiting line and there were no seats around the waiting area. For the food, we ordered salted egg chicken, fried chicken nasi lemak, and kaya butter toast. All were delicious, especially the fried chicken nasi lemak! We like the balance of spices and herbs in the chicken. A combination of salty, savory, and a little spicy. For the salted egg, it tastes bit sweet, not the salty one. A bit far from the original taste of salted egg. So I don't recommend it. For the service, we give 2 thumbs up! Everyone is fast, efficient, and kind. We mistakenly ordered hot coffee instead of cold one, and they were fine to give us free ice cubes. Overall, a nice cafe in Petailing area that is worth a try ”
“ Definitely not as clean, but when comes to food, is really appetising. 1 of their famous drinks, tower drink like beer. Another USP? The view, the 118 view. Amazing. Friendly staffs, promptly organized seats when you arrived. ”
“ Another recommendation from my brother-in-law brought us to Luck Bros Kopi at Petaling Street. The place has a unique setup, the front entrance is styled like a modern twist on an old kopitiam, blending retro décor with a trendy café vibe. When we first walked in, we asked to be seated outside. The cashier directed us to go around the block to the back, which felt a bit odd since later we realized you can also walk straight through the restaurant to the same outdoor seating area (and even to the same cashier when paying the bill!). At the back, there was a long row of tables and chairs, completely packed with diners. We waited for a bit before a table opened up. Ordering was easy with the QR code menu, and one thing that stood out was their signature “tower drink”, a tall, beer-tower-style dispenser filled with iced coffee or tea, perfect for sharing and quite eye-catching. Of course, we didn’t order the tower since there were only the two of us, but it’s definitely something fun for larger groups. We ordered two dishes along with drinks, and everything came quickly with nice presentation. The flavors were good and the service was efficient. What really made the experience even better was the view from the back seating area. Not only do you overlook the vibrant Petaling Street with its colorful shop houses and bustling market vibe, but you also get a clear view of the Merdeka 118 Tower standing tall in the skyline, a striking modern contrast to the heritage surroundings. Overall, we loved the place, tasty food, unique drinks, lively surroundings, and definitely worth a visit if you’re in Petaling Street. ”
